KeyRemap4MacBook
Emacs Mode
■ What is Emacs Mode useful for?
MacOS X can operate Emacs style by default. For example, movement in C-p, C-n is supported in TextEdit.
However, there is the thing that you cannot perform these operation in some applications.
- You cannot move cursor by C-p, C-n in Finder.
- You cannot submit by C-m in Safari's addressbar.
- You cannot move focus by C-i in Safari.
- You cannot cancel a dialog by C-[.
It is Emacs Mode that will replace C-p with arrow key and clear such a trifling troublesome thing.
